"THE SONGS YOU MISSED" VIRTUAL GALLERY
Visual art has inspired my lyrical writing for much of my career. I have always had an appreciation for beauty as well as a vivid memory for the art that surrounded me both in my childhood homes and out in the world.

This record references several art pieces that have impacted me. As a way to honor the art and their creator, I have put together this virtual museum to highlight the pieces that I reference or visuals that inspired my songs. Scroll down for the tour!

The Biker Thinker
Oscar Rodgers
A life sized metal sculpture by Oscar Rodgers inspired by “The Thinker”. His expression is contemplative and somber as he loosely holds his beer. Some of my favorite elements are the real barbed wire wrapped around his bicep, the chain for his wallet, and the skull as his metal boots. This piece was on display in The Harvest Moon, the restaurant my parents owned, where my sister and I played games inspired by this character. He is now on display at the Mott Gallery of History and Art. Referenced in “Tumbleweed”
